Hi, guys! My name is Eirik and I'm a gear nerd! I guess you are too since you have ended up on my UA-cam channel. I do gear demos and other guitar related videos for your viewing pleasure. Straight to the point, clean looking and good sounding. No talking if not needed.
When not doing UA-cam I play guitar and lap steel in bands and work as a teacher. I also spend a lot of time on photo and videography. I try to utilize all of this into this channel so that I can make the best videos possible. Hopefully you'll like them! Welcome, and I hope to meet you in comment sections of my videos!

with regards to the power scaling, i find that everything i own with power scaling sounds better at low volume with the master turned down than it does cranked with the power sucked out. i'll take full power all day.
too expensive
Well, I’m not sure how much influence Steve Albini had on you, but everyone in a studio should do a tribute. Just an opinion.
In the last section, at about 10:30, you used a loop for the low string and then were playing some melodies over it. Did you have some kind of octave pedal on for the melody line? It sounded a bit like a 12-string. Very cool!
Sounds amazing
Thin Lizzy ☑ QOTSA ☑ Mastodon ☑ Covers all the bases for me. Seriously good sounding amp.
Yup, it's awesome
Dude! I was just messing around with Little Devil by The Cult on my guitar while scrolling UA-cam and this vid came up! I feel ripped off, this is not a Classic Cult riff at all!!!!
I about shit my pants when I saw the picture of the guitar at 2:01 because I own that guitar and have never seen that picture before.
Ahah really? That’s your exact guitar?
@@LivingroomGearDemos yeah I bought it from Deron quite a few years ago. Got to sit down and jam with him for a few hours. Was really a surreal experience. That picture was from a guitar shop I brought to to tune it up. Puts all of my other guitars to shame.
Quick, profile it before it goes back! lol Sounds pretty good.
You bet he’ll do that lol.
I try to avoid that with new amps that are still for sale :)
@@LivingroomGearDemos That’s really honorable of you, and I can understand the reason behind it too.
*Small correction: it has KT77 power tubes, not 6L6gc’s!
Pretty big difference if you ask me
Does it matter as long as it's corrected?
Solid state is pretty darn cool. I feel when most players think of solid state, they think of Line 6 Spiders, Behringer, Crate, and those really crummy starter pack amps. I use an old Vox solid state head for bass, and with a fuzz pedal, it blooms and sounds big and really loud.
I was kinda hoping it was Turbonegro's All My Friends Are Dead but considering I'm going to see the (new) CKY lineup this month, this was a great recommendation!
The klon is not "worth" 5k$ . Its a known known. Save for collecting, its worth about 80$ ...the price of a soul food. How are we still talking about this?
❤😂😂😂😂😂😂 The second he turned the pedal on i knew that this pedal is not even close to the worst; It made a passable distortion sound. Try again analog sounds
It's awesome how many of us instantly knew what song this was from the thumbnail...
$149 bass has more character tone wise compared to P-bass, I would definitely write & record songs with this bass.
Definitely A
Cheaper bass is better
An amp I bet you like for this driving style is the 1964 Gibson Skylark. It's such a reactive little beast with it's own crunch. I played a BC Rich Warlock with a bolt on neck through Skylark. It made it's own distortion, but I used an original MUTRON Phasor II pedal and a JAX WAH FUZZ. I didn't use the fuzz through that amp, but later I played it on the massive FUZZ II setting through a 50 Watt Sound City 50 watt head.
I knew it. I think it's so ingrained with jackass because it got popular alongside bam joining jackass and followed him as he branched out so it had multiple platforms that's its attached to
this song is FIRE!
Excellent stuff dude! Thank you for another great demo!!!
Thank you!!! Great demo!!!
Yes I can hear the difference.
I really dig that cheap bass body shape! Would love to have a proper guitar shaped like that 😍
Testing two basses with completly different pickup configuration by playing ghost notes is simply insane.
Dude thank you for reminding me that I literally lived the greatest childhood ever 😊 btw I’m at the skatepark watching this right now 😂
You’re son looks like Josh Klinghoffers twin brother if he had one
The riff was great I just wish the rest of the song was as good. It starts strong then just falls off when the vocals come in.
as a bass player i came here to learn the guitar part because i made the same assumptions you did-i think i like the bass part more!
To my ear, the first on is “brighter, pluckier” way more treble. A light more rattle, and string buzz. The second one is “fuller” slightly more bass but way punchier in the mid range. “Creamy, buttery”. Sounds like a wine tasting haha but does your wallet hear an $850 difference? Mine doesn’t! Especially if you add an EQ and turn the tone down slightly on the first one!
Absolutely pointless comparison with different pickup configurations.
And also a phone isnt going to give a fair test
the first one just kinda sounds like the strings are plastic
Both sound great, I wouldn’t say better or worse, just different!
Feels like we only go backwards baby
Good ear
We are all aware that the Catalinbread SFT exists, right?
I’ve always thought the brilliance of their music was inversely proportionate to the stupidity of the stunts in those videos…. You should do more cky riffs. The way they entangle melodies is phenomenal.
i immediately know what riff it was gonna be by the title
as long as you build onto the tone you chase and make it your own by tweaking it and adding stuff your ear likes, stealing tones isn't that big of a deal. Thats my perspective on it..
Hi, what's this guitar?
Question I am disabled, and also Left handed can I still play this instrument?😊
Instead of hammer-ons and pull-offs, pick every note. It's key to nailing the iconic sound
Stupid question: I have the same amp and I wonder how to use the second channel? Is it just for another config? Let me know, many thanks!
Edit: i also gotta add that for me Queens isnt just about their riffs, which are awesome, but just how they all play off each other to syncopate their grooves, and how they embellish their riffs with all other cool guitar nuances like pedal steel, slide guitar, the strummed nylons in First it Giveth, all the crazy whale squeals in Song for the Deaf, just little things like that really elevate their songs. Song for the Dead is so rad. I didnt really notice the tritones in the power chords at first either until i heard it several times and started learning it
yowza!
GREAT VIDEO, i got a duo sonic HS 2022, the humbucker is amazing, this is a very articulated guitar, if you are very accurate in your playing this guitar sounds glorius!.... I really love mine...its so confortable that its feels like i have played this guitar all my life...
This is crazy I just learned this riff like 3 weeks ago for the first time
Flawless.
Daron Miller used to play with a wound g string
Haha I thought it was gonna be the Jackass riff but yeah this riff is amazing.
